We landed on a comet!

From the European Space Agency:

“12 November 2014 ESA’s Rosetta mission has soft-landed its Philae probe on a comet, the first time in history that such an extraordinary feat has been achieved. “

In the past 10 years, ESA has been waiting for today. Many of us have been waiting for today. It’s a long time to be excited about anything. It’s a fantastic accomplishment.

Congrats ESA and the Rosetta team!
